Quadriláteros
Considering now polygons with four edges (quadrilaterals), we see that the new quadrilaterals that we get do not necessarily have the same shape as the initial quadrilateral.
In fact, the new quadrilaterals are always parallelograms, regardless of the initial quadrilateral.
