Using the the interactive application, find out what is the orbit of a representation of your choice with up to 10 digits in any base between 2 and 10.

  1. Choose the number of digits; remember that zeros are allowed at the left side (for example, if you choose 4 digits, then the number 1 is interpreted as being 0001).
  2. Choose the base.
  3. Introduce in the gray rectangle the digits, in the chosen base, of a nonnegative integer: you will see the orbit of the representation of that number.
  4. If you click on one of the examples, you will see an orbit with a long cycle or a long precycle.
